Do you enjoy history and architecture?  Join us for a guided walk and learn the stories behind the unique buildings of San Juan Capistrano.

The walks start every Saturday at 10:00 am, at the SJC Train Depot on Verdugo Street. Your walk begins at the oldest residential street in California with adobes built in the 1700's and ends at the Post Modern library designed by Michael Graves in the 1980's.  The walk covers about a mile on level ground and lasts between 1 to 1½ hours.

A donation of $10 per person is requested. All proceeds support the Friends of the Library.  The Friends of the Library, a nonprofit San Juan Capistrano library group, benefits and encourages library use and preservation of the award winning library.

Prospective walkers can call 949-489-0736 to let us know you’re attending (not required though!). In addition to these regularly scheduled walks, special arrangements may be made for groups of five or more to have tours on other days. For additional information, or to schedule a tour, please phone 949-489-0736.
